So the brother put the car into the local dealer to have a Tech2 done £70, come back with p1631 which is injection pump malfunction 1-7. They are saying the ECU is breaked ? Who was it that did ECU's.
I know there is a company that does them but can't remember the name ( getting old).

£300 for the repair, or replacement pump god knows how much, or sell car with fault on for ??? With 130k on the clock on a 02 Elite DTI estate. He will have to make his mind up.

In my case my DTi Elite had done 170K iirc, my fear was that after spending out on an EDC repair what would be next? If the Turbo went pop would you then carry on down the route of keep spending? I opted, after much searching for something else, to stick with Omega's but have another V6 and eventually LPG it once I'd got it how I wanted it, the point being that there are always V6 engines and AR35's out there should anything mechanically disasterous happen.

Think it may be the end for the DTI Elite as I got him the 2.2 auto saloon today, only a Cd spec but has only got 69k on it. :'(
