Title: 2.2 CD saloon
Post by: joff on 16 November 2014, 14:17:19
Just got hold of a July 02 2.2 auto saloon in blue 69k on the clock, heated seats still work, normal Omega fault with drivers door ( parts in my garage) leaking cam cover so new seals needed and paid sub 500 notes. What do you think. ;) I know 2 cylinders missing but remember his Elite is a 2.2dti which may or may not be going due to the fuel pump problem.

Sounds good to me, if it would work properly I think the 2.2 drives fine for general use  :y

Ive got one but with manual gears. Im happy with it done a few jobs on it like cam cover gasket, cam sensor. Coil pack boots, door check strap bushes all very easy tbh. Fuel consumption could be a bit better but hey ho I like it :)

Have yet to do one, but I believe it is simply a matter of locking the cams with piston one at tdc :-\

Don't know when the last one was done so if he or I keep it, think it's best.
