Title: How do remove Handbrake Gaiter - Mini Facelift V6 CDX

Hi.

Getting Gaiters re-done in soft leather  :D

How does the Handbrake one remove ?  Looks like there are a few plastic clips, but do any screws need to be removed from the centre console as its not coming away easilly from the console  ;D  (it is the original GM one). 

A few screws are present holding I assume the black felt console cubby hole liner in, but does this need to be unscrewed and lifted to remove gaiter ?

I didn't want to wrestle too much with it in case I broke something  >:(

If it's anything like the facelift ones, the gaiter is stitched to a plastic frame which simply clips into the console :-\

Use a credit card or similar to slot between the gaiter and the console to try and persuade it to pop out :y

All sorted now  :y

Plastic frame unclips as mentioned  :y but top and bottom held in by console top but unscrewing (4 small black phillips screws) and lifting the black felt cubby hole enables gaiter frame to be released and lifted out and slid off handbrake with ease :y

Ahh the smell of nice new leather tomorrow :D
