Title: Insurance Co
Post by: slowlysafelysurely on 21 November 2006, 12:51:37
I'm sure that there have been loads of thread re this but who do you insure with. Quinn direct have cherged me £162 per year TPFT for the 3.0 mv6, thats 5 years no claims and 40 yrs old with a devon post code but with my missus as a named driver and she is 32 and a spanish national with an EEC licence.

Was pretty pleased with the price but recieved a letter today after 7 weeks to say that they havent recieved a hard copy of my no claims (6 weeks after it was sent!!) and will cancel my policy unless I pay an aditional £300  >:(

Now Ive got to get a new hard copy from my old insurance company (from 18 months ago as we have been living in Spain) and send it off again.

I suppose the moral is cheap price but poor customer service!!

Anyone else use them, or got anyone with better prices? a mate might be interesetd in the 3.2 that I brought and wants comparable insurance prices

Cheers

I’d be ecstatic with that premium, I'm paying about double that (fully comp)!

Cheers Bob, just for an additional comparison really, also as I thought my premium was pretty good (regardless of customer service!) and wasnt sure if anyone else used them

Can't say I've actually heard of Quinn before. It is quite interesting how premiums vary quite widely between some insurance companies so it really does pay to shop around. ;)

My first quote for my Omega from MoreThan was £1300. I couldn't believe it. I'd been insured with them for 4 years and they'd been cheapest for all my other cars.

Told them to sod off, they asked me if I was sure as I'd lose my no claims bonus for life. After I explained that for that money I could afford to lose all my no claims bonus and get a few points on my license and still have change from that price they got the idea. Got same cover for a quarter of that.

Never heard of Quinn. Are they a broker?
