My water pump is starting to squeal for a time when the car is fist started, dry bearings!
Anybody used "Circoli" water pumps?
Eurocarparts sell them for a good price and they are local. :y
Its for a 2.2Dti if that makes any difference.

You sure its waterpump, could be a worn aux belt....
-
Yep, def the pump.
Pulled belt off and hard to turn and squeak's when rotated.
I would imagine a seal is going and the bearings are dry/rusting due to water ingress.
Done some homework and it seems Circoli pumps are ok.
Cheap enough and easy to change so not a big deal if it doesn't last that long to be honest.

If your lucky yours won't be oxidated in the block, if your unlucky you'll have a pig of a job getting it out :'(
-
Hmmm, looking forward to it already!! :(
I do have a 4lb club hammer and a 3ft crow bar if I get stuck :y

Aux belt tensioner bearing, while doing the job.

Checked and lubed that when I did the crank pulley, had the whole thing apart for checking and lube. :y
Seems getting the pump is harder than first thought as every ECP but the one closest to work has the pump but not the one near to work, typical!! >:(
Looks like Saturday then.

Well pump done and nice and quiet, it was as tight as a very tight thing, both hands just to move it!
Removal of the bolts and pulley easy peasy, But yep pump seized in solid.
Did end up using my 3ft crowbar and the 4lb hammer, still took five hours. :'(

Your need them if it's stuck in, had to brake the one on my brothers DTI into bits to get it out, then clean it all up before fitting the new one. :y
-
Yep, tore the insides out of the old one trying to get it out, bits everywhere.
Theoretically easy, in reality an absolute pig.
Still done now for a while. :y
The car actually feels more responsive now it doesn't have fight the tightness of the pump, and it was bloody tight!!
