Put heated seats on this morning after a few minutes got burning smell got home and found the leg extension part of the seat at fault . Could see smoke coming from the centre of the seat any ideas on fault or repair .cheers all

Strip the seat. Locate and bypass the burnt bit(s). Test. Refit :y
Or remove the fuse ::)

Presume the seats are mv6?
Can the leg extensions bit be looped out / disconnected and the wires in the seat re joined?
Do I recall some plugs on the leg extension bit?

You could well be correct... not gotten that involved with Omega seats tbh, but certainly stands to reason that the extensions would contain a circuit, er, extension ::)
Thinking about it, I'm sure there's an extra plug in the seat heater loom for that very reason, mentioned in the wiring diagrams too :y

Thanks for replying il try some off them . Car getting old like me ha ha :y

I'd be wary just bridging the leg extension out, as the resistance of the seat circuit will be less than designed, and you could well burn out the rest of it fairly quickly.
The seat extension is fairly easy to strip, and get to the failed bit of element.
