Title: Yodel improvement
Post by: Terbs on 04 December 2014, 14:24:11
You may remember last year at this time, the 3 or 4 parcels that went missing via Yodel, and the merry game I had before they admitted they had lost them. Well, I ordered a 15kg box of Millet Sprays, and when I checked the order tracking, I could have died !!! OH no, no, no, bloody Yodel :'(

However, this morning I had a text from them to say my parcel was on its way, and sure enough, its arrived.
Really nice guy, way better than the last episode.
Have they tried to improve their image. It seems so. Sending texts, never had that last year.
Now I can get on and fatten up them Zebra Finches for Christmas starters ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I sent a parcel with ParcelForce a couple of months ago, they were double the price of the likes of Yodel and Hermes and they lost it.  >:(

I send quite a lot of stuff and generally use whoever is cheapest via Parcel2Go which is usually Yodel or Hermes and havn't had any problems so far.  :)

I only used ParcelForce as the parcel was too big for Hermes drop off (at the corner shop) service and I couldn't wait around for a pick up. Typical!  ::)  Royal Mail/ParcelForce are very expensive compared to the couriers.  ;)

It seems to me that it's a lottery no matter who you use. I got a text from amazon on Sunday morning saying they were going to deliver that day. Sunday....hmmmmm. Nothing by five o'clock so I thought they were not coming. Dropped through the letterbox at 6:30, shortly followed by the text to say it had been delivered.

There's usually a bad apple in every barrel:

the last time  I had a yodel delivery it got lost, tracking only said it had left the depot, they are a shambles. My old company helps them with their staff checks and their staff turnover for drivers is huge something like 100% over 12 months (ie if they have 8,000 drivers they have to recruit 8,000 drivers, a small % stay with them most are short term, seasonal, or get replaced within a few months hence the high volume of recruits)
