Facelift 2.2.....heater probs......all blowers / vents work ok,,,temp gauge goes up to 85/90 deg...but heater is very poor.hardly luke warm..Question 1....I have found that the air vac pipe on the h b v has snapped off where it joins the valve on the top..so have ordered another valve to change over....the other problem is have I been heavy handed with the air vac pipe as it came from the top of the valve and it appeared to be routed into the cab where the heater matrix pipes came out where the sharpe metal edge is,.now I thought that it could not be correct to be jammed in there like it was so I gave it a tug and snapped it..then i pulled hard on the remaining bit and that came out as well....on placing the two pieces together they appear to fit together as one piece.........so were they jammed in there by someone who has replaced the matrix or do they go into the cab and have i caused myself a lot of work by breaking it..........question 2...that h b v air vac pipe is routed along with the brake servo air vac pipe across the bulk head towards the nearside inner wing where they both disapear into the sound insulation,,,,,so where do they go from there and where are they connected to....thanks :y :-\ :-[

Oh hell....just found on here that I have broken the heater vac pipes by being ham fisted as usual....any one know how easy it is to replace them,,do i have to take the heater matrix out to replace them or is it easier that that hopefully :'( :'(

Not sure but will say you mite be able to just get a connector and join the repair :-\

Suitably sized silicon or rubber hose should join the two ends together with the minimum of fuss :-\ aim to get at least an inch overlap on both pipes though :y
