Title: IE 11 question
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 07 December 2014, 17:01:25
Ok,i rebuilt my netbook a couple of weeks ago (WIN7 SP1), downloaded about 300megs of updates for it....and thought I would give IE11 a try....

However, its got an annoying habit of when I click on a link in a google search....it opens another tab (that's not the problem) and goes to a google blank page ! most of the time....

Heres an example, I searched google for omegaowners and then clicked on a link it provided for general car chat and IE11 went here....

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CCwQjBAwBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.omegaowners.com%2Fforum%2Findex.php%3Fboard%3D4.0&ei=FIaEVOn5MsTpUvC0gOAP&usg=AFQjCNH_mmj80I7UV-T0IF53aavH2Yh-Uw&sig2=d2zYLHWIfcvJ_OToA3kzVQ

Which is a blank page???? Why?

Anyone know how to fix this problem or else I shall be binning IE11....

Thanks Steve for posting up those links  :y....when I searched for a solution....I obviously ended up at a blank page....when I clicked on links in google.

I seem to have found the problem....its the avast plugin in IE11 causing it....disable it....and the problem goes away....enable it and the problem comes back....so for now its disabled....
