What electrical items are in the drivers wing on a 3.2 Elite as I'm getting old and can't remember ::)
-
Xenon ecu and self levelling pump :y
-
Thanks Al, did the cam cover on that side last week, gave it a good clean down but still had a little smoke out this morning. Must keep my eye on that as up to Scotland in the morning :-\
-
Carbon Canister.

Carbon Canister.
Oi. I was going to post that but didn't as its not electrical.
...can I have the my points as well please? :)
-
You could argue that the Powersounder is 'sort of in' the wing as well.
-
You could argue that the Powersounder is 'in' the bin.
Fixed :y

Not mine. Refurbed batteries. Working well. It even woke me up in the small hours when the tax disc fell off the screen. :( ::) ;D
Tax disc is in the bin obvioisly. :y

Power sounder ( new one about £70) went in the bin after 8 months when it woke me to much :y

Where/how did you get your batteries refurbed, please? I know the usual thing is to just pull the wires / bin it altogether. :y

Nowt to do with the power sounder at all .. that is a function of the normal alarm.
Powersounder and normal alarm are two separate and discrete units that work very differently.
The ONLY thing the powersounder does is to monitor for disconnection of the main battery, as this would prevent the normal alarm sounding.

Define " normal alarm " bearing in mind that i know full well that the horn alarm that sits next to the power sounder is not functioning, and that the only part of the alarm system making any noise AT ALL on my car, is the power sounder. That is to say, that if I remove the power sounder and trip the alarm, the indictors all flash as normal, but the car makes no noise whatsoever.
Perhaps you'd explain that to me....? Mr Entwood!
-
Well, my power-sounder fires along with the horn in a normal alarm trigger.......
An abnormal trigger is when the power supply (car battery) is disconnected in which case only the powersounder fires.... obviously!
-
chrisgixer - clearly you need to replace the horn unit ;)

Just to be clear. COBBLERS :y
-
So, the alarm went off, but you only heard the electronic sounder (from power sounder), not the horn noise from the unit next to powersounder?
That's certainly the way I read it, and seems to be the clarification you added ???
If that is correct, your alarm horn is oppsed. Simples.
-
I know its oppsed. You know it's oppsed ypu told me it was with tech 2. So we both know it's oppsed. Entwood knows it's oppsed now too.
Yet the glaring fact Entwood is telling me the power sounder is not part off the alarm, and therfor could not have woken me in the small hours escapes you completely.
I take it Brackley is in Northants as well then? Because talking to you previously made me think it might not of been, until today when I checked ;D

Easy test... even you can do it.... open window, shut car door, set alarm. wave a hand through the window until the alarm goes off. You will hear the Horn alarm for 30 seconds.
Cancel by using the keyfob to open the door. Open bonnet and leave open
Disconnect battery negative. Alarm siren will sound.

So, I can, through the haze of my limited consciousness, conclude you are talking utter 'dangle berries'. Can we at least agree on that?
You moan about Northamptonshire water, I think its the Reading water that needs checking ;)

Jamie, can I invite you out of your alternate universe, and back into the context of this thread to which we are discussing and you are deliberately ignoring.

To be precise, the power sounder woke me up.
To which Entwood disagrees. I can assure you, it most certainly did. I await an apology. As said.

Guess what, I think Joff's query has been answered now.
-
Further, the power sounder is not in the wing. Unless we include the air box and the coolant bottle as well . ;D

Anyway, enough of this tit for tat shit. Can't be arsed any further
-
I couldn't give a rats arse what Entwood said, how the opps does that make the comments I made "Cobblers". I repeat, you alarm horn unit is oppsed. You know it, I know it. Entwood probably now knows it if he could give a shit any more.
I never made any reference to Entwood's comment - although he is correct(ish) if the system is working, which he wouldn't have known at the time he posted that it wasn't. FFS, I couldn't remember ever Tech2'ing your black one.
So, get some nuts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxv6Xkw8frE), and calm down please ;)

I am calm. It's you and Entwood that are getting stroppy ;D. The manor of his reply is rude it best, as normal. Posted almost nothing for days then appears out if the woods in a sniper stylee, something that you said was unacceptable to me yesterday then had to apologise.
Chill out yourself :y

Although I am honoured you've reversed your policy on you tube just for me. Sadly I have addopted your policy of not clicking said links. For the reasons you gave some time ago :)

Last time Entwood took a pop from the woods was over Abs sign up. Something he could not refute in person. I haven't had a peep from him since until now, and guess what, another pop. A post Totally irrelevant to mine quoting an experience he couldn't possibly know to be differant.
I don't give a dogs dangly what the book says. The power sounder went off and woke me. No amount of rule quoting, bible bashing or brow Beeting will change what happened.
And don't worry, I doubt Dbug will be able to resist stiring this up either. Any minute now ;D

And I doubt your done yet either... Mr B ;D

Ooh, a sneaky edit. As said previously, that is NOT what happened. And no amount of "quoting the rule book" is going to change it.
Your more than welcome to come round and test it, and it's a simple test even you can do it. Set the alarm with abs tax disc on screen. Wait til it falls off. Siren WILL sound.

Now then. Just before this get locked most likely.
One of you two is wrong. Which is it?
And it's not me, as I was the only one present to witness what happened to mine. So neither of you could possibly know what noise was emitted where. (Q ESTA, Dbug, Andy B for obvious Lude comment ;D )

FFS grow up and stop being so agressive to everybody - apart from that can't be rsed to get involved in your pedantic rants.
-
;D ;D ;D if people want to compete on a pedantic level, fine, lets play. ;D ;D ;D
And remind me, who are you to tell me.... Well, anything really. Unless we have a new admin nobody knew about. ;D
Seriously Dbug, away and mind your own business. Theres a good chap. ;)

Only posted because you invited me to - twice. You can dish it out but cetainly can't take it. I am an OOF member, just like you, and have the same right to comment, just like you. Just really getting fed up with your childish and aggressive attitude to me and others - this forum is called OOF, not the "gixer show"
Feel free to have the last comment (you usually do), shan't bother posting on this thread again.
-
Same old rubbish. I didn't invite you if you read it. Just that you couldn't let pass it by without having a go. And so it proved. :y ;D
In fact I see that was your only input last night. I'm honoured ;)
