If you like big boats then this should do nicely! :y

I think it currently undergoing sea trials, but what I find impressive is that it can lift an entire topsides & jacket form the sea and transport it all back to land for disposal.

It has actually, its got a couple of bloody great big gas turbines!
But there is no propulsion system
There bigger but possibly not more complex than my current project (220M long deep water drill ships - I work in Offshore marine Electrical and control systems)

Is that the engine Mr DTM built with his bare hands ;D

My engine's got more
cylinders mezzanine floors than yours. :D

We see those a lot in the freight vessels although the monster engines are slowly dying out in favour of electric propulsion with six plus smaller engines (circa 10MW so 14000 ish bhp).
Reason being its cheaper on fuel with these and the ship is more reliable and has greeter flexibility, plus you can bring engines on/off line as required allowing maintenance, wear levelling and supports running at the most optimum load for max efficiency.
As an example, I had goods going from Italy to South Korea and they are delayed due to an engine failure on the vessel (NYK Orion) which required removal of 25% of the containers to get the engine compartment hatch open to crane spares in!

Funnily enough i was looking at container ships :o
