Not sure whether the fin section is detachable Jon but the small piece snapped off in pic doesn`t affect the performance at all. I`ve bench tested it and spins nice & quiet. I`ve got a window fitting team working in SN2 1NA Monday morning, if it`s near to you, can give it to them for you to collect. You can have it gratis mate
