Well to kick off then - as of last week I have now got Conti 5s all round (fronts changed to match rears fitted a few months ago). All seems good contrary to other forum users views!! On Phaeton that is not Omega or Insignia.

I'm sticking to my cheap as chips Chinese ditch finders until :-X...........all the rear track rods are changed and I can get the cars set up properly,nothing worse than throwing good quality tyres away with three quarters of decent tread still on them >:(

Just remembered to say if any one is looking for rear track rods (which have been as rare as hen's teeth to date) Allgerman can get them and also at the moment Eurocarparts have them. Both companies are offering Lemforders,a bit pricey but  your tyres may last that bit longer :y

Well, the Autonogrips on the back of the Oxymoron didn't slip once on the way home inspite of being -5° in places ;D

Which was rather boring... ::)

When Bear needs new tyres.....

Me - ''Oi, Mr Tyre-Selling / Fitting man, need a new tyre''
Tyre man - ''certainly Bear... budget, mid-range or premium''
Me - ''the cheapest you have please''

I have my winter tyres on the front of my Honda, tested today on Ice and were fine, but then not sure how general tyres may have acted in the same situation on a FWD car................. :-\ :-\ :y
