Title: would you pay...
Post by: tunnie on 29 June 2008, 14:23:33
2.8k for a facelift 3.2 MV6 with leather and factory sav nav with just 37k miles on the clock?

I am seriously tempted!

If I had it I probably would -- even risk the wrath of SWMBO

had my 2.2 for 3 years now... love it, but always had a slightly old man feel about it, cream interior, and wood dash, which i am not too fond of.

Black interior with silver dash, and black sports leather seats do look very nice.

The 3.0 pre-facelift Estate i had was quite frugal... its not far off the 2.2 in terms of fuel use, i would say around 10/15% worse, can be better some times.

I don't have a SWMBO, or other dependancies, time is now or never  :-/

if it is as fully specced as you say and has colour sat nav then yes.....

And then i would be straight on to Jeremy for an LPG kit  ;D

2.8K is a bargain for that

Yes, you have to think carefully about buying a car like that but as you say, you haven't really got that many outgoings and to be honest I think the price that big engined cars have fell to with the recent tax hikes has made them very keenly priced as long as you can meet the running costs.

Consumption wise on the 3.2 the killer is town / city driving, on the motorway they are quite frugal and totaly unstressed.

Thanks Danny, but if i get a 3.0/3.2 it would have to be a MV6, i find the Elites too soft.

Plus looking to get away from the wood effect dash, and go for a clean silver and black look  :y

Saloon.

Now mother tunnie has a facelift estate i don't need to look for one.

Danny - Fuel costs are not really an issue for me.  :y

My commute is 20 miles a day, so if i do 30mpg or 20mpg it does not really make a big difference.

Although if i do get it, such low millage LPG is a bit of a no-brainer
