Title: High Beam Aim
Post by: amba on 30 December 2014, 22:02:53
Is it possible for the aim on  headlight high beam to be adjusted without altering the low beam .?

Seems I have n/s high beam far to high in relation to the road and also that of the o/s lamp.Strange thing is the low beam pattern seems to be fine ...unless being a less concentrated light pattern it is also out but less noticeable.

Very rarely need to use high beam with the great HID,s Elites have but tonight I had a journey down some very very narrow country lanes as was quite surprised that n/s lamp on high was off the road almost into the trees but o/s gave a much better beam .

Are your adjusters bust? Dipped & main are tied together.

Nope Andy all intact and works I believe although havent been brave enough to start turning them incase they do break.

As said highbeam is not correctly positioned but low does seem to be ok...but mayeb due to beam pattern that also needs adjusting just was unsure if both high and low were linked

High Beam bulb is probably not fitted correctly.  Take it out and re-fit, see if that solves the problem.  ;)

9 Seconds.  NINE bloody seconds!  ;D

Now that is a possibility as remember last summer took that light apart to renew lense and doudt I have had reason to use high beam or notice beam pattern since.

Think I will leave it till it gets warmer now and also fit a set of night breakers whilst at it as no point in getting injured dooing the job twice...more plasters at the ready >:(
