Hi all, a few months ago my drivers door started to fly open when driving,I examined the catch and locking mechanism and tried to open the closed latch with a screw driver but it was solid. Any way I intended to look further into it but never got around to it. The upshot was it started to work normally again until a few days ago when it started opening again. When the door is closed even firm pressure from the inside will not make it open but then suddenly without warning whilst on the move it will suddenly open.
Any clues? :-\
TIA
Regards
Tony

I'd change the complete lock assembly ;)

/\ /\ /\ What He said. :y
Had one on a 2.2, no amount of adjustment of the Lock Mech or Pillar Latch would cure it, just did its own thing when it felt like it.

Anyone got one for sale please?

As others have said, replace the mechanism. Reliable enough to use 2nd hand, so grab one from one of the breakers here :y

True for the motors, but the part in question is the entire latch assembly... ::)
These are unique to the relevant door ;)

So you can't just turn them upside down and back to front and use them on the opposite door? ;D
