Hi, I have been asked if I would like to purchase a Tech 2 it comes complete in the box only been used twice what should I be looking for if I decide to go ahead ie: leads, software etc.

First of all, if its a genuine one, or a Chinese clone of one.

Software required depends on what you want to use it for. Up to about 2008, you'll get away with TIS2000 and a dongle for the security/reconfiguration.  For later software, you need a valid TIS2WEB subscription (About €100 a month)

The unit will work in purely standalone, but will not allow access to key ECU reconfiguration.

Thanks TB it is a genuine one I will try and find out what software is on it at the moment but think its tis 2000, is it worth the subscription?

It boils down to what you want to do with it. And on what car.
