.... will not be able to obtain a driving licence in Russia! ::)
Transexual and transgender people along with those who engage in fetishism, exhibitionism and voyeurism are on the the list, well as those who engage in 'pathological' gambling and compulsive stealing. Apparently it's an attempt to cut down Russia's road accident rate. :D

I wonder if they've considered discouraging people from driving after consuming a bottle of vodka! ::) :D ;D

STMO better get his can of oil out, for that rusty chain and get the tyres of his Berkshire Cycles, well ridden, trusty steed pumped up, where he no longer has a driving licence. :D :D :D
Sorry, I've just read it only applies in Russia, carry on driving STMO. :y :y :y

How on earth are they going to enforce that?!

How on earth are they going to enforce that?!
By setting up random road blocks and completely restricting the freedom of movement of the entire population. Then the general populace will get so fed up that they will rat out anyone to the KGB (or whatever it's called today). Meet the new Russia, same as the old Russia...
Not sure what the mafia will make of this new status quo though :-\

Much worse then the old soviet union, the church has a big say behind the scenes in Russia nowdays with most of the henchmen at the top practicing Christians.
I some circles, the invasion of Eastern Ukraine and Crimea is seen as just because it unifies "the" people and preserves "the" way of life.
Putin and his chums have decided that poofs and ladyboys are not right for mother Russia so they must be forced out or back into the closet :(
In some ways, Putin has a very similar ethos to the radical Muslim bastards that are running around the world at the moment.
Its there way OR no way :(

Spot on. Putin has effectively nationalised the Russian Orthodox church as the 'moral' arm of his amoral regime.
Putin and his terrorists are not that different from IS. In fact encouraging Muslim attacks in the West would suit Putin no friends (at the G20 meeting in Australia, he was welcome as a turd in a salad) very nicely, where he would try to ingratiate himself with the West by suggesting a common front in fighting terrorism, except in Ukraine of course, where there are allegedly Russian forces, carrying out terrorist attacks in Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv and Lviv. :(

Russia is a Mafia state, the lower order gangs tow the line, if they don't then bad things happen, if they carry out Government dirty work then they are rewarded with good things happening, like lucrative Government contracts. This is how Putin keeps everybody inline and any that don't stay inline, end up in jail for fraud or tax evasion or worse happens to them.
If you run an up and coming business and catch the eye of one of Putin's henchmen then you are made an offer you can't refuse, refuse it and you join the other alleged 1000+ former business owners in jail.
This is capitalism Putin style:

New Russia is much worse than the old Russia where the old was based on a mistaken framework and ideology, whereas the new Russia is a Kleptocracy, which is about grabbing as much money, creating as many powerful connections and power as possible. The old Russian had a sort of morality based on equality, with some more equal than others, the new one has no ideology, system or morality, it is everybody for themselves and personal enrichment. The top 110 in Putin's personal circle own 35% of Russia's wealth, in the West it is the top 1% that own about 35% of a country's wealth which is about 630,000 in the UK and 3.3m in the US.
