On the 02 plate Mv6
According to the tossers nice man at my local stealers, the Mv6 bumper doesn't exist and all Omegas have the same front bumper ::)
Iirc, Rog was tracking this down before he pished off :-\
Does anybody know if we ever got a definitive answer on this ??

ProDrive made the front bumper for the MV6 and had to be ordered diredt from them, on MV6 part number on EPC
From our info
Information on V94 Omega MV6 and ELITE variants
Please note that the front bumper assembly fitted to MV6 models and the rear spoilers fitted to both MV6 and Elite models will only be available through Prodrive Limited of Banbury.
If these parts are needed to meet accident repair requirements then the following ordering action must be taken:
Part number are as below and recommended pricing details are as advised by supplier on application
Part Number Description
PDOMFB20003KFK-1 Front bumper (MV6)
PDOMBS20001FK-1 Boot spoiler (Elite &MV6)
PDOMTS20002FK-1 Tailgate spoiler (Elite&MV6)
So the guy at your dealer was correct and prodrive no longer have anything to do with the supply of these parts
Cheers
Andy

Thanks for all that Andy :)
Is it worth contacting Prodrive directly or are we completely knackered when it comes to these covers ?
By the way, my description wasn't a general description of dealer staff but lets put it this way, some of the staff at my local dealer do have a reputation of been rather un helpful / talking shite :)

Worth asking the question just in case, but they flogged off the last of the bumpers and spoilers about three years ago :-\
iirc, those last bumpers didn't have the towing eye cover...

I'll email them over the weekend, drop the forum name in there and see if they will play ball with me :y

Good luck with that, I did contact Prodrive quiet a few years back and drew a blank on the covers.
Seem to remember I also posted up an opportunity to gets some made up, either by Prodrive or get some cloned by a.n.other if the right numbers where there, nut again not enough interest.

Is it worth trying to sort out a cloned one again ?
What sort of prices was we talking Chris ?
I'll give it a try with prodrive but as said, i'm probably pishing in the wind :(

I cant remember now if Im honest, twas about 6 / 7 years ago, the proper way was to get them injection moulded, biggest cost would have been the Tooling followed by x amount of pennies dependant on quantity per item, bonus would have been that I or We could have ended up with thousands of them, not sure if the market is or was big enough.
The other option was I did get in touch with someone who reckoned he could clone them by making a Fibre Glass mould then cloning them in some sort Fibre Resin, upside was could be viable for just a few handful of items, downside was cost per item as this is a fiddly handmade per item, honestly cant remember the cost now, but was viable for the right numbers.
As it was sometime ago I'd probably have to look into it fresh again, but as said all down to number interests.

How about 3D printing them? Cost per part will be minimal, you'd just have to find someone to model the part first.
-
Looking at gathering materials to mould them... should be cheap enough, but might be trial and error :-\
-
Just how many of these would actually be needed? 10? 20? I doubt it would be more than that. Injection moulding is clearly out of the question, and making a reusable mould for GRP will be a labour of love. So, I spent a few minutes with Alibre, hopefully this image will be visible:

that's a quick sketch of a generic towing cover as I have no idea what an MV6 one looks like, but that looks like a perfectly viable part for a 3D printer to me. ABS is a common plastic for those, and it's paintable.
The beauty of this is that nothing needs to be made, or stored to make a part. Changing it costs nothing except a new print, so 2 or 3 prototypes would make for a properly fitting final part, that would only cost a few quid.

If less than 100 wanted (in one production run), a resin mould would be cheap, and a tame injection moulder shouldn't charge too much for a one off run. We used these cheap types of mould for prototyping/small one off requirements. Parts would only need subsequent spraying to match colour.
