Hello there,
MOT due up again this month. The last advises included the statement 'unable to check sills for corrosion as covered by trim' Is there a potential problem in this area or is there a way to remove the trims prior to the test and have a look? I cannot find any reference to this in the maintenance guides so am led to think there is not a problem??

My understanding is the MOT man isn't allowed to undo nuts, bolts, remove trim etc. So I'd interpret that as ''I cant remove the trim but im going to cover my butt by indicating why I couldn't)
however, if you wanted to just undo the retaining screws at theend and snap the trim off to look at sills. look at both sides

Unless you know of a problem, it can be ignored. Many MOTers put such and adviso on as an arse covering exercise.

Yes, i have got that advisory on the MOT that i have just had, which insurance co. insisted on after it was written off as
Cat C. This is the first time in ten years of Omega ownership that i have seen that. Is it something new or what? ???
