I just phoned my local vx dealer an they want £73.00. + vat for the aux belt pulley tensioner. rather step I thought for a service item. so im going for a good used one. :-\

Might be able to sort you one out, depending if that super low-mileage one is still at my local scrappy. (not been in in a month, due to Xmas)

they are quoting the full assembly, and if you are ok with a drill you can change the bearing yourself on these metal assemblies for sub ten notes

Wow, that's still a ruddy good deal on a timing kit!... um, before I just go blindly ordering one - as I need one v. soon - there's two types for the Omega, correct? And the usual thing is you always end up getting the wrong one. Seem to think you just reuse an old pulley/casting/similar on your own engine if it is the wrong one. Have I got this right?

Also apologies for the mini-thread hijack, will start a new thread if the answer isn't a simple 'yes' or 'no'  :y

Looks like you're sorted on the pulley front, anyway, mickyboy123, which is good news. :)
