Title: manual to auto gearbox

This might be a daft question....but is it possible to swap gearboxes.....what I mean is...the wife has an auto license and id thinking of buying a new car....she wants another corsa but newer than the corsa she has.....i want her to get a real license so her options are better.....but she won't...also I want her to get a diesel s it don't cost me for fuel.....so if she gets a diesel manual corsa would it be possible to put an auto box on it....  ???

Only if Vauxhall ever offered an auto/diesel option...

Hypothetically possible but be better off buying one off the shelf... :y

Some of the 1.3 cdti engines in the later corsa's come with a auto box Nick  :y :y

stuff it she can bloody walk....seems like too much faffing about...wish she would get a proper license instead of a go-cart one
