Title: Temperature Guage

Just a little niggle the engine temperature gauge doesn't work or i should say ive only seen it work on a couple of occasion any ideas? Most of the time it just sits on the bottom of the gauge and doesnt move at all.

Loose connection on the sender ?? They are only push on spade connections.. :(

ok thank you i shall look into that tomorrow sorry to be a pain but where is the sensor located

2ltr V6? Interesting!  :D  ;) or maybe a V4?  :-\  ;D

When you find the sensor as per picture, you can prove the gauge by grounding the blue wire from it. The gauge should then read fully hot.  :y But it's likely to be as suggested, an iffy connection.  ;)

Other times this happens is if the instrument panel has partially popped off its connector. Flat hand on rev counter, gently, but sharply push, you'll feel it reseat if that is the issue.
