I've had it with this car I fix one thing another breaks! Grrr anyway I got the leak off pipe on cylinder 1 sorted, now 4 has gone. Chopped a smidge off the end to bodge it on as I did with 1, is now too short. That pope must be all of 2 or 3mm shorter than originally. What a useless design!
Anyway, rant over, does anyone know what I'm expecting to pay for the set again (not the piece that goes to the pump, but I'm going to do all 4 injectors to that piece)
Auto factor vs stealer if anyone knows. Thanks

About £20 for a full set from dealer :y
-
Ooo that's not too bad then. My job for tomorrow.....
-
Well, until the next fault....
-
Or buy it from motor factors at a cheaper price, you should change all leak off pipes at the same time tho :y
-
Buy it by the meter, dirt cheap. :y
-
Yeah just phoned them. £2 odd +vat per metre. Was thinking of changing t pieces while at it just on case (no sign of a problem) but at £5 odd +vat each, I've decided they're probably OK lol

They've just phoned me back saying they got the pricing wrong. Apparently they thought it was £20 odd for a 10metre roll, turns out is £20 odd per metre, supplied in a 10 metre roll. So I've gone from expecting to spend a five and having plenty, to spending £23 (how nice he's reduced it a bit) and hoping a metre is enough 😕

It gets better. Been battling trying to get them on. Got them all in the t pieces lined o, they just need pushing into the injectors. Access isn't great, been using long nosed pliers but they will not go on. Looking at the pipe, I'm not even certain it's right. The outer diameter seems bigger, and the inner diameter seems narrower. Only just in both cases but may be just enough. What's the chances a dealer gave me the wrong stuff? Sat in works car park 35 miles from home 😣 luckily I've got my wagon I can sleep in if it comes to it

Again

Just found a how to with pictures from another site. His pipes look the same as mine. Technique needed then 😟
-
On a more thorough look, bits of tree old pipes are still stuck in there. Got 1 out, but cannot for the life of me get the others. Going to book it in. Had enough of it now.
-
Can you not find an old screw (self tapper) that would fit into the bore of the pipe so that you could screw that in and pull with some pliers?
A little heat may also help both out and in. :y

Even from most dealers it comes in a roll you cut to length. Quality can vary.
Cup of hot water, dip the end in for a few seconds and slide on. Fitted 12mm plastic pipes using the same method.

It's not in the leak off connectors it's a bit of the pipes in the recess. I've tried poking, prodding, spinning, grabbing with long nose pliers, I've tried shouting and swearing, I threatened the scrap yard, nothing is working. I'm sure a garage isn't going to charge mega bucks. It will probably take them half an hour to sort
