Looks like it has 3 connections to the plenum, which are all joined together ???

I like that and near me too....  ::)

Yes, those connections into the plenum are strange.  What are they for?  :-\  The ECU mounting wouldn't bother me too much as mines in a similar place and hasn't given me any grief.  :y

Vacuum for manifold pressure sensor :-\ picture isn't great so it might be an optical illusion... wouldn't be my first choice of ecu location either (nor would I put it in the scuttle), but at least the gas and wiring seem to be grouped together, simplifying service work :y

I have "slightly" similar on mine .. but only one each side .. not the weird two on the left connected together .. and they are connected to the "flashlube" which was fitted as part of the deal but has never been used as this engine does not need it. Those connections appear to be all connected to each other sand to nowthing else..... "perhaps" it had "flashlube" once, now removed and that's how the holes have been sealed ???   :-\ :-\

Is flashlube typically drawn in by engine vacuum then?

yup .. small calibrated nozzle on the bottle that you time the "drops" by .. more suck = more drops per minute. I believe it atomises and then covers the valve seats as it passes through ....

for reasons unknown the piccies I put up have gone from imageshack .. I'll find it on the system and reload ...
