Just recently the cold and hot water that comes out of the taps has been looking a bit odd :(
It has a misty cloudy look , if its left in a glass the cloudyness disappears and sometimes it does not ??? If the taps are run for 2-3 minutes it come out clear so what could this be :-\
It happens more from the hot supply :(

What you describe is pretty common.
I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.
PS.....however there is a possibility you may drop dead if you drink the water. ;)

Is it the chlorine in the water ? Seems excessive if it is :(

It's a wee bit of air in the water. If you fill a glass, the tiny bubbles that create the cloudy appearance should dissolve from the bottom up.
If it's in your hot water, maybe your water is a bit too hot ?
Either way, from what you've described, it's perfectly normal and safe. :y

Fill a tall glass or vase, stand and watch ... if it clears from the bottom upwards its tiny air bubbles as already described, if it clears from the top down, and there is a dusty appearance on the bottom of the glass it is a sediment, usually caused by hard water.

If you are worried just drink/wash/flush bottled Evian 24/7.

Thats what it does :) Only noticed this since the new boiler was installed a few months back .

I am guessing its a combi (spit) boiler so its heating the mains supply which will mean you still see the little bubbles but they will hang about a bit longer as the water is warmer

A sure sign in our kitchen tap that the flow rate is high enough to wake the boiler up... ::)

Id guess it is too, as my hot water comes out cloudy after my new combi boiler was fitted.
Oh and btw, I just had a bill from my energy co. Bill was for £230 (gas and leccy) for the last 3 months even tho the house is warmer and heating on for longer....and I'm still, after the bill, £250 in credit with them!! Going to ask for a payment from them back into my bank account...Glad I changed that old boiler :y :) :)

Don't forget TD that fuel prices have bombed lately... I would suggest keeping that credit as credit rather than cash back... Afterall fuel prices will eventually go up again, so could be a handy cushion :-\ besides it's not like they'll be earning any interest on it ::)

Don't forget TD that fuel prices have bombed lately... I would suggest keeping that credit as credit rather than cash back... Afterall fuel prices will eventually go up again, so could be a handy cushion :-\ besides it's not like they'll be earning any interest on it ::)
Eh? Petrol and diesel prices have dropped....but the cost of gas hasn't budged...it may do, but so far none of the energy comps have dropped the price of it.....
Also the idea of DD monthly to an energy comp, is that you build up credit during the summer months, this then pays for the winter months.....my monthly DD is almost paying the winter months usage at the moment!

Yep , saw that just now, but thats not until mid/end Feb and its only about 5%
That's going to save me a massive £22/year roughly....IF they keep the prices at that price and don't raise it again......but then my energy co hasn't announced anything yet!
Ive never seen a plan where you can pay them in full each month.....obviously you can pay in full quarterly with some comps.....mine its DD or nothing :y and personally I prefer the dd monthly way, as you don't have to worry about getting a big winter bill :y
Plus im going to switch plans with my energy comp, as they tell me in latest bill, I could save £80 on gas/yr ( might be £22 less if they reduce gas price by 5% tho ) and £50 on leccy/year if I switch to fixed price plan until mar 2016 :y

I think ours are through M&S energy, readings entered on line, generating the bill amount. This is then paid, and when the actual bill arrives it is zero :y No surprises, no hidden extras and more importantly, no screw ups :y
