Few things I need to do I'm afraid. This will affect the router, one of the network switches and the hypervisor, so I suspect we could be down for 3+ hours.

3+ Hours and 1 Min it is then, I gave you 1 min for Boot Up time. ;)
Just make the Kettle is boiled for your Cuppa, before you take out the UPS again. :-X

I have to go out tomorrow between 10am and, say 2pm. Get it done during that time, there's a good chap.

Router has a software fault that's buggering up my phones here, and vendor states the later versions will fix. I tried the previous version some time back and it fixed the phone fault, but knackered everything else up ;D
Network switch has an ongoing issue with ports randomly going to sleep, needing a switch restart to cure - disabling and reenabling the port does not resolve it. Vendor is useless, and every time I report it gets a "put latest firmware on it"
Hypervisor needs an upgrade, to support new VMs
Hardware needs a bloody good clean and hoover, and a SAS cable replaced (that I needed to do months ago :-[)

For once in my lazy life, I'm not in the bath :P. Had to be a quick shower tonight, as I need to be down the pub by 6

Don't forget to put on your best American accent before you upgrade the firmware on your 'ROWtur'.

You of all people should know when you call Cisco during the day, you end up in The Netherlands. Rowtur I could understand, but Christ knows what they're smoking in Dutchland ::)

This outage is likely to be mid/late afternoon before it starts, as need to nip out this morning.
-
Didn't go well.
Router - reverted to original firmware as the new one causes different issues
Switch - updated
Hypervisor and hardware work - not attempted as ran out of time
*sigh*
