Title: 3.2 V6 Thermostat Change (An alternative suggestion)
Post by: X30XE on 23 January 2015, 18:05:09
Experience of changing thermostat and coolant pipe with O-ring seals... In the freezing cold with numb hands and frigid rubber hoses :(

...And subsequent suggested amendments to the sequencing of current OOF guide...

1.  Loosen B-Bolt. No point going any further if you can't get the little swine to budge.
2.  Before removing B-Bolt, pull rad hose from coolant pipe adjacent (Much easier while coolant pipe is still captive)
3.  Remove B-Bolt and twist / rattle / pull coolant pipe around dipstick tube and away from the block until free. (Much easier while thermostat is still captive)
4.  Then tackle thermostat side as per original. (Which is the easy bit by far)

Hope this helps.
