Title: Geometry Setup at WIM franchise

Suggested setup:

Front:
Camber: -1deg 40' both sides
Caster: 5deg both sides
Toe: 0deg 10'

Rear:
Camber -1deg 50'
Toe: 0deg 25'


I think from reading on here these are the VX values and I should ask for less Camber on the front, -1deg 10'? I have sent a PM to WIM but as the work is being done in the morning thought I'd ask the panel.

Assume the toe value is 'total toe' of 0deg 05'?

Both front and rear toe should toe in, and camber is negative, not positive.

Rear settings are a compromise as camber and toe are one adjustment, but thrust angle MUST be 0 :y

This mornings news is that WIM don't work with any other garages anymore, that website info is out of date.  :-\

They were very helpful when I spoke to them this morning, but unforutantly for me they did advise the website is wrong and they no longer work with other garages. Offered to take a look at the print out when its done locally though, so will see what they think  :y

Just got back from WIM. They remembered you, Steve. And I confirm, they do not now work with other garages :y

Our Omega price still remains at £72 inc vat :y

Had mine done at WIM last tuesday, camber and toe well out after wishbone change. Now tracking lovely..

Thats a good price - to be fair my car now drives lovely, wheel straight, no pulling or darting around the road at every inperfection. That maybe down to the new wishbones though I guess. The setting used are nother like the WIM ones. When I picked it up they did say they would be happy to put 'my' setting in if I'm not happy so may drive it for a couple of days and think about it. I guess tyre scrubbing could be an issue even though it seems to handle ok.  :-\

Front camber. 1'20 front track 0 to parallel, castor 5'
Rear camber 1'30,rear track 0, total of 0' thrust angle.
 If they can get the front camber to 1'15 better.
Set tyre pressures to 32 front 35 rear.

So taking front camber how does the table above relate to the published (on here) WIM values?

 I m probably being thick, but it looks totally different to me.....

I am taking it by biggriffins remarks and Taxi Al's pm to me that although mine has been done, its way out !!!!!

Front toe is much better, rear toe camber is a compromise, because ALL the adjustments are done on the one adjuster... but even so :-\

When I looked over the suspension and decide to replace the bits I did, I thought they looked ok but that was just looking so not sure that is really a good test.

Summat is skewed, and a failing rear subframe bush would allow the rear suspension to twist slightly...
Back the car onto ramps and remove the cover plate and centre bolt, any cracking or splits and the bush needs replacin...  Only remove one side at a time though... :y
