Thank you

sorry. the front doors.

just because i want to buy some wind deflectors for the doors and it seems nobody has them for the estate.
unless paying far too much for kamey or vauxhall direct.
( thats not happend. 25 is ok over is too much lol )

Fronts identical for all Omega B :y only differences are trim and interior panels...

Rear door shells are also the same, but rear window frames and glass are different.

Thanks.
So if I order the deflectors for the saloon it would fit the estate.

Glue them in very tight or say goodbye to them as they fly off on the motorway  :'( :'( ;D ;D

Without picking fault with your choice - it's your car, and it's literally none of anyone's business if you want to glue a F0rd badge to it - but why the desire for wind deflectors?

The idea of wind deflectors is a bit flawed.
-The idea: you can drive along the motorway with the glass open a fraction, and keep the interior cooler, without wind blowing in your face, that's the idea, and it works - but since the advent of aircon that's sort of become pointless. And, without going hyper-technical, any car with its window open a fraction inherently produces negative pressure just after the A-pillar, or, to put it another way, where a-pillar meets glass, the air is being sucked out slightly, not blown in. Ok, going fairly technical...
The darker the blue colour, the less pressure (actually a slight 'sucking' force), vs the darker the red a positive 'pushing' force. Used correctly this can produce downforce.

-It's a nitpick, but you're actually completely destroying the airflow around the vehicle, chucking turbulence and affecting mpg. Now this is a minor one, it's going to start making a difference only over 50-60mph (so when you buy that £2000 carbon fibre 'aerodynamic' bicycle you now know it is a waste of aero-engineering  :D) but famously they drive a car with a plastic garden chair strapped to the roof, from half way across the country, and on arriving at the campsite, found it was actually cheaper to buy a chair, and bin it at the end of the holiday, than it was in extra fuel the chair cost them with it sitting on the roof.

As Taxi Al points out, they have a habit of falling off at motorway speeds (which aids aerodynamics, I suppose!  :y ) it's just one of them things people fit, like certain spoilers and air filters, on the belief that they're adding to the performance of the car, when the opposite is true. As I say, in no way knocking your choice to fit them, not at all, just want you to know that the Motorworld 'XL performance silencer Super Bling' doesn't actually increase power, before you open you wallet, if you follow  :)

Also sorry this turned into a Fluid Dynamics Lecture!!! I may have unintentionally offended the OP, but atleast we've all learned something  :D

Hold on a minute... don't go blaming me when they fall off... >:(  ;D ;D

 :y

I'm more concerned that if ckz gets home, and his other half comments on "where them door things have gone since this morning?", and he says -  "got sucked off whilst on the A1M today" the reaction isn't going to be a pleasant one. And when he tries to explain it's to do with his 'fluid dynamics' it isn't going to make the situation any prettier   ;D

In the interests of biting my tongue I only answered the question of the doors... someone else said they will fall of.

Yes indeed, for the record, it was not Taxi Al who said they would fall off, that credit goes to flyer 0712; who, judging by his username, has had 712 of these fly off in the past  8)

Steady guys,
i know deflectors and exhausys, as airfilter's don't make the car faster or more aerodynamic.
i drive cars long enough and being tinkering with them.
Its a personnel thing to make a car unique to others.
i do not like cars how they come out the showroom.
never did.
maybe because i grew up with a big bunch of guys which alwys had big cars and allways added some stuff to it.

also i do like gauges.

i could gone for smaller tyres when i bought the car to save money on them, but i got wishbones, tracking and every bit which needed replacing done to keep the big tyres.
i replaced the roof areal for a shark areal because it looks better.
i have dark black tinted windows on all rears, and if i could i would tint the front side ones too.

i also found led hd lights for the omege which are very nice but cant be used in the uk because they only been built for left hand drive. shame on that.

the deflectors serve the purpose of looks and in my other halfs case, leaving the window open and no water comes in in the rain as i like it warm in the car. she dont.

i even made my own roofrack in chrome because it suits the silver car.  8)

it has a wash and polish nearly every weekend.

still get dirty after a day.  >:(

interior -
replaced the original radio for a stereo system with touch screen.
added a mount so i can use the tab ( Ipad ) in the car
a fully integrated free speaking system for any mobile which run over the car speakers
a 7 inch sat nav which runs permanent
( showing roads in advance, mainly sharp corners or other dangerous crossroads etc in advance, if you know what i try to say )
music storage comes from a 32 gb memostick which covers around 2000 songs i like, hardly have radio on
dash flashlights, and rear window incl roof beacon - well more or less for a job i do occassionaly,

snooper for not getting caught by the white pirate vans on the roadside

reverse camera which permanent tapes while driving and one on the dash.
because of this dash cam i could proof a tipper lorry lost some gravel and some hit my windscreen - i just getting a brand new windscreen processed which cost me nothing and may even a respray of my bonnet.

next month there is full service booked for it and it will get a full valeting inside.
and before i forgett i have to find the fault while the seat heaters stoppt working and get this fixed.

call me an auto maniac but i like having my personnel touch.
maybe if i get it cheap enough i will change the exhaust, but ony to point out its a v6.
i never seen the point on big exhausts under 2 liter cars.  but big cars it can make a nice sound.

dont see it the wrong way, i dont like underfloor lights and other silly little things,
i try keeping it as what it is, a big - once expensive - car but i like personel touch.

maybe one day a different grill which looks more sport style and not old man like lol

back to the deflectors,
once the fittet and sit perfect the will be glued in with 2 component fastener as normal  supergluh usualy deteriates with water, - that's while the coming of.

Sounds like you know your cars and love them - which is the important bit  :) As said, no offence intended, just wanted to make sure you knew their 'function', but of course, it's all personal taste. As they say, the world would be a pretty dull place if we all liked the same thing, and a very dull place if you all liked the same things as me!  :y

All I can think is to search further afield for Opel, or even a VZ Commodore and similar.

Thanks.
yes i do love my Cars on a way.
so long the have a shape, been big, and fast. lol

i was dealing with cars in younger age, so i had quiet a lot of them.

its a shame i am getting to old to do on cars what i did years back, also lost a lot knowledge due other commitments.
well, that's while i ask stupid questions sometimes. he he

i did have a Comodore Years back which was a great car.
also had astras, 2 calibras, 1 omega A, and a vectra. never owed a omega B before so this is my first.  :P

mine could be faster, for example lotus powerd but the 2,5 is fast enough.
defo faster as the v70 mark 1 which was a nice car too.

may if someone is interested, i send an email to a company i found on the opel tunning sides about headlights.

they made some new style hid lights with drl led lights integrated, which looks very nice but only for left hand drive vehicles.
so i asked how much the would be for uk.

still waiting of answer. lol

i have a look if i find the pictures again.

I made my own DRL LED lights for my Carlton, Also fitted indicators together with the DRL's as I've fitted the Senator from end and am planning to fit a LC bumper but not happy with the results yet.

Just not sure what pattern to do on the Omega headlamps.

c k z.....is quite correct in saying that it is a personal thing with doing things to your own car.....I personaly like the window deflectors but do not like the way they fix to the door frame channel which is very thin......by tape or by good adhesive is required but i know of three omega owners who have lost them while driving  on motorways and duel carriage ways so because you cant clip them in with stainless steel clips like most cars i will not be fitting them to mine as much as i would like too   so go for it c k z    as I think they look great. :y :y

I will.
Arrived yesterday so I give it a go on the weekend.

Not using adhesive tape.
I go for 2 compound glue.
Takes 5 min to harden out but I fixed fairings on motorbikes before and it holder forever.
If I loose them I let you know. Lol
