Title: Spark Plug Prices ?
Post by: EMD on 29 January 2015, 10:15:22
I cant believe the varying prices of spark plugs , from £2 to £18 a plug  :(

GM 1214462

Or £54 for six    BKR5EIX-11

Where am i to get a decent price , no TC  :-\

ECP want about £2 each for Bosch, and nearly £4 for NGK. That's retail, so you should be able to wangle some discount. I bought NGKs recently(my preferred brand for 25years) for the Bosch price.

I don't bother with TC for service items as any savings are too small for the hassle.

They are the two electrode type, think I'll have set for the 3.0 L and stick em in the spares shed, but if someone comes on later to confirm suitability for the 3.2 as well, then I will certainly grab a couple more sets :y

I think these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NGK-6-Pack-Spark-Plugs-c-BKR6EK-2288-X-6-/271231974958?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AVauxhall%7CModel%3AOmega%7CCars+Year%3A2000&hash=item3f26af7e2e) are the ones I have in mine and have probably done 20,000 or so.  They looked fine when I pulled them out recently, so I'd recommend!  :y
