I think he/she was worried about stopping, either because of the position on the road or because bad bastards use tactics like that to get you to stop.
I also notice the driver of the vehicle with the dash cam didn't stop and offer to be a witness.

Wasn`t sure what had happened at the time. I was lookin to my right & just heard the bang, only just reviewed the footage tonite. You here me saying "I might have caught that" .
