As title - don't fancy paying the dealer price for the head gasket set for a V6.
Anyone got experience of FAI, Payen, Elring, Victor Reinz, etc.?
Needs to cope with increased rev limit.

use reintz a lot
what rpm we talking?

Hi Serek mate, I hope all is good with you.
Rev limit is set at 7250 but I try to use 7k as a general rule. This gets you past 110 in 3rd on my private test track :D
All German Parts are quoting £115 (inc VAT & Del) for the Reinz head set and bolts. Seems a reasonable price.
Cheers

I used Elring gaskets and they seem fine, but then I rarely take mine above 2000rpm! ::) ;D

How much did you pay for the Elring set and bolts if you don't mind me asking Sir T?

The OE supplier was Elring and I have used these a lot.
Also used Payen without issues.
Given your only looking to increase the red line, cylinder pressures wont be affected so cant see more strain on the gasket, the bigger issue will be the strength of the rotating/moving parts and the increased heat.
For me, the best gaskets used were on the 2.6/3.2 which area metal multilayer job but sadly the bore sizes are different so they don't fit the 2.5/3.0

I bought one of these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAUXHALL-CAVALIER-OMEGA-SAAB-900-2-5-V6-HEAD-GASKET-SET-/120369008302?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AVauxhall%7CModel%3AOmega%7CCars+Year%3A2000%7CPlat_Gen%3AB%7CCars+Type%3A2.5+V6&hash=item1c068d4eae) sets which aren't bad, but if I do one again I'll buy the head gaskets separately and all the other bits and pieces from Vx. :y
I believe Elring gaskets can be had for about £15 each from various suppliers eg ECP.
