I saw a volvo S80 V8 in asda car park today. Didn't know such a beast existed. It looked very understated, the only giveaway was the big, twin exhausts. You could have some fun with that at the lights.

They did put a V8 in the XC90 so maybe somebody has been playing and put one in the S80. :-\

No. It was available from 2007 from your friendly volvo dealer.

Kinda makes you wonder why they didn't put the engine in the right place, really. ::)
Of course.. all modern cars musty be based on a shopping trolley.

It's the wrong way round in the XC90 too :o nuts really as that must surely have enough space for a full size V8 ::)

Indeed.. although an XC90 is more about how you look while doing the school run than handling, of course. ;)
It's the same for every manufacturer. The platform design is set for the base model shitbox and the "luxury" models are made by adding more power and blingy bits, but keeping the compromises in the original platform. Hence, one struggles to think of a worthy replacement for the Omega.

Which is a bit crap really, more marketing than useful.
