Title: geo settings
Post by: Ady on 16 February 2015, 21:35:40
Hi

I'm just about to get my car geo tracked after replacing just about everything on the front end of the car, track rod, center steering bar, wish bones polly bushed, ball joints, top suspension mounts and anti roll bar bushes polly bush.

So after chatting with Steve in what have you done to ur car thread he suggested I look at an old post of his with his current set up

So my question is, do I show this photo to my local garage and say I want this or is there a setting that anyone can suggest.

It's for a 2002 2.6 saloon.

Any help would be gratefully  :)

First things first, they have to get the rear thrust angle to 0.00 before any other settings.

As said in other post, have a chat with Tony at WIM.  :y

Thanks

I will give him a ring in the morning. Do you think he will mind running it all by me even though  won't be able to spend any money with him as I'm in Bournemouth.

He'll probably be able to recommend a place or if he knows and trusts who you are booked in with he may offer to assist over the phone.

I should add that, while the settings aren't secret, they are the product of lots of research work by Tony, therefore, a lot of us will travel the distance to see him and support his business.... Which reminds me, I must make my next install job over that way as I need to get my 2.6 checked over and two boots on the back in the next couple of months!

Ok sounds good, I will ask him if I can pay him over the phone as technical support and get him to chat with my tracking man. My tyre guy is a mate and has got a laser alignment machine so I guess it's just a case of getting the numbers right

Thanks for the advice  :)

Ady - the numbers in my post - car drives well, but the front camber is already causing tyre wear. Tony was helpful to me over e-mail and clearly knows exactly what he is talking about. I've not had time to have my setup changed.

If you search the WIM settings are on the forum also.

Got done Nigel Langs and no front tyre edge wear now and drives fantasticly sure footed now :y, especially round the twisty bits   :y :y
