Title: Best place to buy.....
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 23 February 2015, 16:08:05
Fuel filter for 2.6 Omega. I believe mine to be the original. :-\

Front pads low wear sensor. I hear these can easily break when changing the pads.

How much and from where?

Thanks, chaps. :y

Thanks, Mr Tilbo.

Being a tight sod I was hoping to pay about about £3 a piece, including the dreaded VAT.

Tight git and dream on.

Euro Fart Parts sell them, if you buy the Mann filter it comes with the clips (just under a fiver), wear sensor is about 9 quid

From ECP.....£9 for the sensor. £3.48 for a Crosland filter.

Is the oil filter the same on all 2.6 models?.......or is it dependent on engine numbers?

Same filter used on all petrols. Diesels are different.

Engine number 08644657.

Crosland filter £3.12.

It looks like the paper filters changed about half way through the run.

Sure you're looking at fuel filter, or have you moved on to oil filters?

£2.99 for the sensors on heebay including postage, no idea if pattern are 'ok' or not, but there's an Ate one for £6.40, which I'd imagine is decent enough quality  :)

Should add if you're going to get a fuel filter from Vx at £10.70+vat, I'd be very temped to get the ABS discounted 'service kit' from Keith B. With that you get fuel, air, pollen and oil filters, 6 x spark plugs for £29 (or £30 if you need later paper oil filter) at that price you're effectively paying under £17 for six plugs, a pollen filter, an oil filter, an air filter (all are genuine GM) - which has to be cheap in anybody's book  :y
