A colleague at work has one, very pleased with it had a Discovery before which was a total disaster from the time he first bought it. Great tow vehicle & a well proven piece of kit.

A bit barbaric and basic, but quite capable and robust.

If it has all singing all dancing radio/cd/sat nav/phone set up in it make sure it all works as it should as they retail out circa £8,000 from the stealers!!

On the contrary actually, very well kitted out. My son has the D40 Aventura and it's got voice activated full screen navigation, full phone connection, reverse camera, full electric leather seats with polychromatic mirrors and many more gadgets. It's not bouncy on the rear when empty like a lot of pick-ups.
Turning circle is about the same as a large ship but apart from that I love driving it.  :y Surprisingly it's very capable off road as well.  :y

Off road they are pretty average (been there done that sadly), beware though, they are not good fro the long haul and as they approach the 10-12 year old point things get expensive.

Welded a few of these already, typical jap tin work sadly.

I agree, he waxoyl's his as much as he can as the chassis rails do tend to rust as they are completely open to the elements, even in the engine bay. Time will tell if it does any good or not.  :-\ His is fine at the moment but we have seen some dried out examples.
Milner Off-Road is useful for spares as they sell the bits that Nissan tell you are not a replaceable part.  ::)
As for off road, I meant that it is surprisingly capable for a pick-up truck.  :y

07 on have DPF,s fitted and really do restrict the engine. Mate has replaced a dozen engines now where it has clogged up so much and done the lump in. I think he said from 12 plate on they took the DPF off
