Looking over wife's pug 106 this afternoon,found the expansion tank to be full of oil,no coolant in oil though,looks like heads coming off over weekend...priced head set up though,£21 so not all bad!

sounds like the oil cooler and not the HG (v rare on the V6) if it were water in the oil thats a HG failure but as the oil cooler is higher pressure than the coolant when the it goes it fills the cooling system.
Plentum off, inlet off change and then then flush the coolant system fully!

Thats right it is!,although some pugs did come with oil coolers,this one though hasn't,can't think of any other reason for oil being there than head gasket failure :)

My dad was RAF mechanic for 15 years and he managed to totally avoid square bashing
