Hi guys
Just bought 2 rear coil springs for my 2.2 with 235/45/r17 alloys and looking at them they look different sizes is that right they both have the same codes on them but just slightly different sizes.
Cheers

It is always recommended to fit suspension items in pairs. This is to insure correct ride height accross each axle.
So they do need to be the same. :)
It is also worth buying something half decent, as the rears can break off on the poorer quality ones and you'll be back to square one again.

The ones I have got are smp coils they areGermany quality made.

Yet a differant size, you say? In what way? Length, width, wire thickness...?
Regardless, omega springs are not handed. So should be the same both sides. :)

Hi
The difference is in height not by much but it is noticeable.

Perhaps Andy C or someone equally knowledgeable could say, but I vaguely remember summat about drivers side springs being a smidgen longer...
I can't recall the context though, so could easily have been refering to a Suzuki Baleno or Fiat Chroma rather than the Omega :-\
Either way, the supplier should have been able to send you a matched set ::)

I should add, I have a set of near mint plod saloon springs here, which I shall measure, but they are no use to you as they're from a V6, so very different spring rates to the four pot :'(

... or Fiat Chroma...

Then the ride height will be differant side to side. Given the differance you have to the front, one has to ask are they worth fitting? It is the ride height that's the issue in the first place.

hi guys
rang up the company I bought them off after they checked another set they have in stock and confirmed I have the right set but having the same code on the spring we are putting it down to manufactures labelling fault. going to get my replacements tomorrow.
I am gonna check the height off them what exactly should it be from top to bottom 26 and a half to 27 inches.
cheers guys
