Title: BBQ at Keswick could turn out expensive!
Post by: bob.dent on 04 July 2008, 11:15:33
WARNING.......Don't read if squeamish. ::)

I thought I had damaged a filling while chomping on some meat from the BBQ at Keswick, but then forgot all about it. Had tooth ache for last couple of days and noticed that my gum was a bit swollen, so decided to have a good floss and a load of gunge came out of gum with a lump of meat that must have buried itself where the filling broke.
Looks like the gum is now infected so had to book an emegency dentist
appointment for Monday to get the infection and filling sorted.
Bugger, now my dentist is no longer NHS, how much is that going to cost?? :'( :'( :'(

Meat won't normally damage a filling .. have you checked the BBQ for missing nuts & bolts ???  ;D ;D ;D

Sorry to hear of your pain .. hope it gets sorted  :y :y :y

I need to empty the fridge by the weekend.  Fortunately, I have some work mates coming round to assist ;D

Replacement filling at my dentist is £80

BUT i get 20% discount as i pay £10 a month 'smile care' which includes the 6month check ups.

Spent over £800 on my teeth recently, £370 for root canal, £420 for the crown over the tooth that had root canal then another £40 to refix another inlay that came unstuck, oh and thats the discounted prices!!  ::)

I hate dentists with a passion!!!
