When using the CC does it use more fuel than when not using it?
-
Depends on the gearbox, speed selected and the gradient :y

Generally, yes, overall cruise will use more than not using.
-
If you are worried about fuel economy why do you have an Omega? :D

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/driveHabits.jsp (http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/driveHabits.jsp) "Using cruise control on the highway helps you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, will save gas."

In my experience yes, especially on the 2.2 as every time it comes to a hill it kicks down a gear which you can avoid when use the mark 1 foot :y

Ive always found using cruise returns better MPG on a run, but then I tend to get bored quickly so it soon all goes out the window ::)

Maybe with your manual versions as it can't change down gears?

My cruise control won't work anymore. Is there somesort common problem with them or do I have to start cheking some things ? What I have seen, is that the wire, that goes from the throttle body to the Cruise Control regulator, the wire skin is cracked and rised up from the regulator box. Could that be the cause in long term, there's dust in the box and it's jammed ?
