Title: Can someone help me with a part number
Post by: Mr.OmegaMan on 01 April 2015, 20:16:20
For the A/C Condenser 'O' seals or whatever they are called for a facelift 2002 3.2 elite.  :y

Had a look in the search bar couldn't find the number.

Alternatively a recommended place to buy them from apart from the VX dealers.

Thanks in advance.

Not exactly sure not done a condenser before, Just seen people mention it's worth changing them while the condenser is off which makes sense, I presume they mean the seals for the connections between the condenser and what pipes they connect to on the car  :-\

I asked about condensor and seals at local VX today, both available from Germany. I recommend you take a seat before you get the condensor price though!

I did treat myself to some mat retaining clips, even though I had to have 10! Another item to be well seated for even with 25% discount!

Yep, I went to ask about condenser to - yep special order from Germany and £350 ish from what I recall before all went blank !!!!! :D

I am after the seals (for connection from pipes to condenser/drier unit) so will pop to dealer.  Hopefully they are a bit cheaper  :y

I managed to get my paws on a new Genuine delphi GM condenser and Drier so will pop new seals on pipes  :y

Assume cooling Rad needs to be out to replace AC condenser.

Had a quote of around £460 with VAT from VX for just the condenser and I'm not entirely sure that was including fitting or not :D

£277.05 was the condensor price, so yours must have been fitted. Think I'll give your link a try  :y

Still looking for the part number for these if anyone knows them, Tried VX all they say is bring the old one in to try and match them up, I just can't take the risk after taking everything off that they don't have the correct ones, Ideally I'd like to replace the condenser an all the other parts required to be removed the same day so having everything in advance is a must.

Hopefully someone knows the part number required or a place that sells the correct ones.

Thanks

I've just dropped a e-mail to the VX garage that priced it for me to see - the did say they had to come from Germany though.
