Title: Bronchiolitis
Post by: Andy H on 03 April 2015, 13:17:48
Never heard of it before this week. On Monday baby had a cold, Tuesday SWMBO took her to the docs for a check up, Wednesday took her back because she was struggling to breathe.

We spent the rest of the day in the Childrens Assessment Unit at the local hospital until we could get enough fluids into her to be allowed home.

Sorry to hear about this - name seems to suggest its an inflammation of the bronchioles - small cartilage and muscle containing tubes which can open and constrict, transporting air to and from the air sacs aka alveoli  - I only know this because I suffer with chronic lung disease - so prone to viral/bacterial infections, and taught on pre nursing courses for many years before retiring

Seems like this may be a useful link
