>:( Started nightshift last night , today my neighbour decided it was a good time to powerwash his patio, another one thought it was a great time to "test" the engine on his 1979 Yamaha RD 250 , the builder putting a roof on an extension in the next road decided he'd work bank holiday Sunday , it can only a matter of time before someone starts to trim his hedge . Is it about time we had laws like they do in Switzerland making Sunday a quiet day ? :(

Thing is, you can't realistically expect the rest of the world to stop because of a change in shift pattern.

It's a twenty four hour world... next time your off on a Wednesday night, fire up the bbq and have a few mates round at one am :y
Failing that accidentally set the alarm off on the car at three am :D that is real party starter ;D
Guaranteed that the people who grumble will be the very people that make all the noise without a care in the world on a sunday...

Similar problems here. I work nightshifts and get into bed at around 8.45 am. Neighbours small yappy dog is chucked outdoors about 5 minutes later.
They never walk the damn thing , just leave it in the garden barking its head off for anything between 1 and 4 hours.
Too thick and chavvy to reason with, so some day soon it will escape from an opened garden gate, hopefully never to be seen or heard again.
I am very considerate about if and when I make noise on my property, and have no time for the type of retards who leave a dog barking in their garden for hours on end, without thinking that it might piss people off in the surrounding area.

... and nevermind how the dog feels... >:( ::)

I have to do night-shift as part of a rolling shift rotation, and have done for donkeys years. I accept daily noises that people have to make but I am fascinated by people saying "Oh, you're on night-shift next week so you'll be about in the daytime". No I won't, I'll be asleep for most of it. ::)

And me, we are at the caravan (Static) lovely day, the sound of children playing, but spoiled by the slightly distant sound of 2 little dogs yapping away at each other........ >:( >:(

The neighbours were doing the 'nightshift' on Saturday night and it all got a bit out of hand. ::) They all spilled out onto the street a couple of times, lots of shouting and yelling/effing and blinding sort of stuff and the Police got called when they started ragging a Honda Civic up and down at 3am. ::)

:( Trouble is we never get a peep out of them until I'm on nightshift , sure the buggers do it on purpose !

Well it's 22c according to the cars outside temp today, and every bigger is out cutting the grass and gardening. Including me. ;)
I do feel for you though. :(
