I have just put down a deposit on a 2.6 saloon. It is a one owner job and 64000 miles and 03 reg. The colour is grey/green (identical to the colour of Ben's car, for those who attended Wycombe meet). It will also have a years MOT and comes with full service history and stamped Vaux dealer service book up to date.
Sadly only a CD so not all the toys of my Elite's, but what the heck. All dash lights work and display also works. Don't think it has cruise control, but that's one less embarrassment for me.
Fingers crossed :y

Less to confuse you, Terbs :P

The reason the Wycombe meet attracts so many Omega's is because you own so many. ;D It's becoming an illness Tony, you and Ken will soon fill the car park between you. ;D :y
Hope the new purchase serves you well. :y

It's a race Alan...first to five ;D ;D
I think I have been a champion at getting this past the misses. She is still muttering. The avid test will be at Wycombe, when the swmbo's sit and chat about us blokes. Once my missus and Ken's missus get together, its time for us to 'Exit stage left'.

I want to know why it us pair that gets abuse and I don't even own one.... :y

I am allready on 3 and if a low late low mile V6 Elite poped up anywhere I would then have 4 ::)

Did you pay the £1,495 or was there movement there? (I'm making an assumption it was the one on Ringwood Road)

Knocked him down, not much, but worth while, and they put a brand new MOT on it yesterday, Steve. :y
The pictures do not do it justice, mate. When I got there, I thought it was a different car. Reg was also different. But the reg pictured is a private plate, which, I checked, is registered to another Vauxhall, which was purchased at Wimborne, I think, where mine originaly came from. The pictures show it a looking dark greeny/blue, but it actually is that weird grey/green colour, that changes depending which angle you at it.
It will need a small bit of tlc done to it, but should look the bee's knee's when exhibited at Wycombe on May Day. :y

Well done, I spent too long thinking about it :y

Well...the deal is done, and the new car is presently residing beside the tin tent near Wareham. I am well pleased at the moment. Do miss the sunroof, though, but aircon fine. Got a six months warrenty ::) that covers aircon compressor too. Drives well. It did get an advisory on the MOT yesterday that the front lower wishbone rubbers had deteriorated but there was no play in either.
Are these the ones that we put polybushes in ?. Something for a later date. Got all the service history up to Dec 2014. Previous owner paid out a lot of dosh as soon as Vauxhall service report pointed to anything. Way over the top imo. the belt change was £434. Does that seem a lot ???
I'll pop some pics up in the gallery soon :y

Hmmm, could be either, but you should be able to identify which, once jacked up. Poly's go in the fronts, and the rears tend to go, and then you can get new OE pressed in. It sounds as though you may have OE 'bones still, so don't be tempted to fit aftermarket, better to fit poly's and new rear bushes to the existing if required.:y

Is that car number 4 ??? ???
-
Struth EMD.....you trying to get me divorced ;D ;D ;D ;D
No mate, this is the number three. Actually, swmbo is warming to the car, and admits its in top condition. Definately winning her over :y Just got to keep her away from Nitro's misses in the short term ;D
