Thank you, minifreek. If it weren't for Google's logo of the day, it would have slipped by unnoticed!
We being English have no need to boast, we KNOW we are superior, but maybe a little more celebration would be nice?
On St. Patrick's day, you can't turn anywhere without being reminded of the fact, especially in pubs.....

What really pisses me off is that Im sat watching GMTV and they celebrated ST Patricks day, but not a single mention of it being ST Georges day....




Im just waiting for them to celebrate Independence Day on July 4th.....

As a proud Englishman, I have always wthought it strange we don't actively celebrate St Georges day. Are we too reserved?

Curry tonight and a few tins of (expensive) British beer tonight.

It is Saint Marco day here this Saturday.Local saint of puddles (to do with celebrating rain needed for the crops). Everyone goes into the countryside and has a long day of eating, drinking, card playing (men) or talking about babies (women).

Yep, happy St Georges day,...   think the guy was Turkish though.... anyway a few beers tonight.

Chris, Nigel Farage has pledged to make it a Bank Holiday if his party gets in, and also to stop the scotch interfering in our parliament in matters that don't concern them.....

No, National Holidays are good, should be able to charge time and half then  ;)
