Coming home today i noticed some steam from the drivers side of the bonnet and then got the message `coolant low` on the MID. After reversing up the drive there`s a nice run of coolant on the road and up the drive and it looks to be coming from the back of the engine (typical).
It looks like there`s a pipe running from the heater matrix to the back of the engine, does this just go to the block?
I need to have a dig around tomorrow and I don`t think it`s anything worse than just a split pipe but I`m just trying to find out what lies behind the engine under the bulkhead that would be the likely cause.
The temps didn`t get above 90 and then came back down to 80 when the fan kicked in so it hasn`t over heated.
Any ideas/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Well a quick look in the maintenance guide section and the HBV looks like it might be the likely culprit judging the way the pipes are routed :y
