Looking at all of the different claims and counter claims, and all the talk of various alliances that may or may not be formed, I think I am wishing for something I haven't wished for before.
More of the same. Can't really see anything else working.

Tory boy. :)

Keep left unless it's an election or you're navigating a boat in a channel/river :y

If I was voting in the Uk, I would be feeling the same. The campaign has been in everyones faces for far too long and worse the Media (via the polls ) has been telling us the result so much that it is a done deal.
having said that , I suspect that the Conservatives will do better than has been suggested. Probably still need a coalition.
It would be funny if Clegg doesn't get re elected. Maybe Danny Alexander would be the new leader. I quite rate him.
Nicola Sturgeon is the best PM material of them all.

Hmm....perhaps. You wouldn't want her naked in your bed though. :)

Voter's must be more confused than ever this year :( I used postal vote and voted too early as wished id voted for someone else now the little truths are coming out >:(

Doctor Opti's election prediction......guaranteed correct. ::)
The conservatives will win a small overall majority. I predict they will win by 5-10 seats.
Think John Major in 1992 and you'll be on the right track.
-
Clegg will need his P45.

Is it possible to add a members poll to the thread ? Might be a bit of a laugh. :-\

Politics poll? Noooooooo.. ;D

What is quite clear is that there is no leadership, only slimy career politicians trying to slither to the top of the greasy political pole or desperately trying to cling on if they are at the top. Biggest election non-event I've ever known. Defence is screwed whoever gets in, in this ever increasingly dangerous world. At the end of the day it is the economy stupid and the Tories have partially got it back on track, where they are slightly better on this than the others, whereas Millipede is the UK's answer to Hollande who has kept the French economy in a permanent recession, with stagnation at best. IMO many floating voters will play safe, when their hand is wavering over the ballot paper, like in 1991 with Major against
Pillock Kinnock.
Personally, I think the electorate deserve butter, until you realise that 80% don't care as long as knobenders and it's ilk is available for hour after hour every night to keep them in their zombiefied state or they vote t'labour as their dad does and his dad did before him and then you think maybe the majority are getting the politicians they deserve.
My daughter typifies this, where she lives in her own virtual world. Could name every knobender actor / actress and who they play but would struggle to name a politician. Doesn't understand politics, doesn't want to understand politics, will only vote if mum shows her how to and which box to put a cross in, which is understandable as she is youngster of only 27 years of age.
Interesting series of articles by the journalist Ben Judah, where he has been touring Britain and also following some of the leaders for Politico magazine. Clegg one particularly interesting:

Makes you realise how staged everything is! :o :o :o :o

Mr Rods.
Whilst it is certainly true that the younger generation (18-24) have little interest in politics, I find the middle-aged amongst us (40-60) to be almost as apathetic.
It is mainly the coffin dodgers (65-death) who keep the British end up. This is because a trip to the polling booth is often seen as 'a grand day out'. Once they have scribbled their cross in the appropriate box (provided of course they have remembered their glasses) they stop on the way home for a game of bingo, or better still an OAP sized portion of fish and chips.
By the time they arrive home in time for Corrie most of these senior citizens can't remember who they voted for, or why. :D ;D

The much missed Desparate Den would have concurred. You only have to watch Gogglebox to get a taste of what folk are like.

Two opinions/view points/parties eventually HAVE to meet in the middle.
It is the way of things. Deal with it. Accept it and move on!

looks like a school reunion photo of 1 cranky and 2 lefties.
Career Politicians : :)
Tories would like to draw a dividing line around the south/south east , keep all of the wealth, and cut the rest of the uk loose, SNP and Plaid Cymru just "want to be left alone" N Ireland doing their own thing anyway, UKIP could emigrate to the Isle of Man, defend its perimeter and would be happy forever after, Green Party could find somewhere greener, Iceland is very green during Summer, the LibDems may find the yellow sahara desert quite fruitful, could use sand as currency and feel quite pleased with themselves, Labour could keep us all in work( so no pensions would be required) paying off the deficit until we drop as the Tories would gladly leave that with us, and if in the meantime we we became a little short of money, then the Tories would lend us a few bob , take all of our newly acquired lands as security and the cycle could repeat itself.
Failing the above, then perhaps its time once again to look at our voting system

No more discussion. Get out and make your cross, and pray someone....anyone, gets a majority.

as per jokes section
Today is the day when the electrolyte go to the poles to erect a new government.
The choice is a bewildering collide-a-scope across the piratical system of idiots, nincompoops, self seekers and downright liars.
More people than ever will be disenfrankensteined having not voted for the out write winners.
It's about time we ditched the first past the postal system and bought in Pictorial Representation.
