It's cheaper to blank it off.  Hint: search on ebay for z22se egr cheater, you can get the blanking plate, gasket and cheater as a kit.

ok thanks,will take a look........will it effect the emissions on the m.o.t and will the orange light come on,if so can it be turned off  :y

Out of interest what faults do you get on the 4 pot when the EGR valve is going.  :y

Its just the emissions light keeps  coming on and then it will  go off ..,,then back on....then off....had a reader put on it and he could not make out the codes....So i just thought that it would be the e g r valve so change it......any ideas what else it could be please  :y

codes were there but he just said..( cant understand that lot )  reset the system and all was ok for two weeks,then on it came again and is now permanent ,,,,thinking that maybe i should take it somewhere else and see what they say and ask for the codes themselves.
