GM with the new Corvette and now the new Camaro seem to have made a serious effort in upping the ante for the quality, performance and handling in the muscle car marketplace, which is good for consumers.

It is a 323hp V6, so it's not unimpressive. Let's not forget that all the US manufacturers managed to produce 5l V8s that made less power than a 2l Pinto!
And I forgot to mention that 6cylinder Camaros have always been available, as have Mustangs and the ordinary saloons that they're based on.

EDIT: What's more remarkable is that they made them heavier than a 2L Pinto. ;D
